Srinagar, Jan 22 (KB): In a major crackdown on the illegal drug trade, Srinagar police have arrested a drug peddler and recovered 101 grams of heroin from his possession.
Retrieved from Microblogging’s Twitter site, Srinagar Police, in a tweet according to Kashmir Bulletin–(KB), said that the accused, identified as Nisar Ahmad Khan, son of Anaytullah Khan, a resident of Shathpora, was apprehended during a routine check by the police.
According to the police, Khan was found in possession of the illegal drug during a search conducted at his residence. A case under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act has been registered against him at the police station under FIR number 06/2023.
“One drug peddler namely Nisar Ahmad khan S/o Anaytullah khan R/o shathpora Kupwara arrested. About 101 grams of Heroin was recovered from his possession. Case under FIR no 06/2023 U/s 8/21 of NDPS Act was registered at Shalteng PS and investigation started.” Police Tweeted. (Kashmir Bulletin–KB)
