Srinagar, April 16: A fire broke out in the early hours of Thursday at Alamgari Bazar area of Srinagar, damaging two residential houses, officials said.
Reports said the blaze erupted around 3:00 AM, triggering panic among locals as flames quickly spread to nearby structures.
Fire and Emergency Services, along with local police, rushed to the spot and launched a firefighting operation. After several hours of efforts, the fire was brought under control, preventing further damage.
Officials confirmed that two residential houses were damaged in the incident. However, there were no immediate reports of any loss of life or injuries.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known, and authorities have taken cognizance of the incident.(KB)
