Big Blow to Drug Mafia: Srinagar Police Attaches ₹3.5 Cr Properties.

Srinagar, April 25:

In a major action against narcotics networks, Srinagar Police has intensified its campaign under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyaan by attaching immovable assets worth nearly ₹3.5 crore linked to alleged drug traffickers.

Acting through Police Station Sangam under provisions of the NDPS Act, authorities seized two residential properties connected to individuals named in FIR No. 56/2025 (Sections 8/20, 29 NDPS Act).

Among the seized assets is a double-storey house along with land measuring one kanal belonging to an accused from Kreshbal, Noorbagh area, estimated to be worth over ₹2 crore. Another similar property in the same locality, valued at around ₹1.5 crore, has also been attached in connection with the case.

Police investigations revealed that these properties were allegedly acquired through proceeds of illegal drug trade.

Officials stated that such actions are part of a broader strategy to dismantle the financial backbone of drug trafficking networks and discourage those involved in such activities.

Authorities have once again appealed to the public to assist law enforcement agencies by sharing credible information, reaffirming their commitment to eradicating the drug menace from society.
