An official told that a case under FIR No. 93/2026 was registered at Police Station Sopore against individuals involved in circulating false information by sharing old videos and projecting them as recent incidents to disturb public peace.
He said acting promptly, police identified and apprehended the accused persons. “Further investigation into the case is underway,” the official added.
Meanwhile, police have urged the general public to avoid creating or sharing unverified content on social media, warning that strict legal action will be taken against those found involved in such activities.
