Srinagar, Apr 16 (KB): The Chief Engineer, Distribution, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited has announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns in parts of the Valley to facilitate maintenance works.
According to the details, the shutdown of the 33 kV Khanyar line will be observed on April 18, due to which power supply to Khanyar, Rainawari and Islamia College areas will remain affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
Similarly, the 33 kV Takenwari line will undergo shutdown on April 21, impacting Takanwari, Shanglipora, Danmar and adjoining areas from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
The 33 kV Beerwah-Arizal line will also witness shutdown on April 18 and 21, affecting Arizal, Zanigam, Reyar, Doodpathry and nearby areas from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM.
Meanwhile, shutdown of all 33 kV lines emanating from Grid Station Kanipora, including Keller, Batapora, IGC Aglar and Pinjoora, will be observed on April 19. As a result, power supply to Ganowpora, Keller, Berthipora, Moshwara, Shadimarg, Shopian town, Memendar, Sharatpora, IE Gagren, DC Office Shopian, Arhama, Pinjoora, Killora, Imamsahib, Vehil, Nowgam, Reshinagri, Pahnoo, Zawoora, Shirmal, IGC Aglar and adjoining areas will remain affected from 11:00 AM to 01:00 PM.
Likewise, the 33 kV Alasteng Power House line will remain shut on April 19, affecting power supply to Mini Secretariat Ganderbal from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM.
In addition, the shutdown of the 33 kV Kanipora–Pinjoora line has been rescheduled to April 19, with power supply to remain affected from 09:00 AM to 03:30 PM.
