Sources said the labourer, identified as Javid Ahmad Bhat (35), a resident of Gujpathri Budgam, was engaged in work at the site when he accidentally fell from a significant height under circumstances that are being ascertained.
Soon after the incident, he was rushed to SMHS Hospital Srinagar for urgent medical treatment. Doctors attending to him said that his condition remains critical.
Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated proceedings to ascertain the exact cause of the fall. Further investigation is underway.(KB)
